Integrated Manual Therapies (IMT) : Advanced Rolfing, Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy and Movement Education. By selectively integrating these modalities IMT is a powerful "systems anatomy" approach to organizing the body at core levels. The intent is to restore normal range of motion to motion restricted tissues and to balance the fascias of the whole body. Clinically, IMT specializes in helping people with unresolved and long-standing deep tissue issues as well as post-surgical complications from undifferentiated scar tissue(s). Re-establishing order & mobility to the spine's fascial infrastructure (the deep tendons, ligaments & membranes) is a key to maintaining better spinal alignment by virtue of more balance and symmetry in the soft tissues. Spines that are not holding adjustments can often have restrictions in the ribs or underlying viscera which keep pulling the body back out of alignment. IMT addresses this fundamental relationship between the spine and soft tissues, the container and its contents. Bruce has taught classes in soft tissue manipulation (Structural Integration) for the spine, ribs & whole body since 1996.
