About Our Practice

Dr. LoDico and his associates have years of experience diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pain using state-of-the-art procedures and well established, evidence-based multidisciplinary approaches. He has a vast experience performing diagnostic procedures for the neck and back, such as screening facet blocks, selective nerve root blocks, sympathetic blocks, provocative discography using a strict protocol, all of which have been relied upon by surgeons considering surgical procedures.

The diagnostic workup may indicate definitive treatments such as radiofrequency rhizotomy, percutaneous discectomy, heat lesioning of the discs, vertebroplasty, and chemical neurolysis.

Advanced Pain Medicine is part of a large referal network, including neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologists, neurologists, physical medicine/rehabilitation specialists, as well as primary care physicians and other specialists to whom we offer refer patients, and who regularly refer patients to us. Complicated cases are often investigated beyond the usual imaging studies and physical examination.

For the most extreme cases which fail to respond to surgery, injections, percutaneous procedures and medication management, Dr. LoDico and his staff are able to offer the most advanced implantable devices, including spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal infusion pumps.

Also available are psychologic evaluation and treatment for the effects of chronic pain such as depression, insomnia, and exhaustion of coping skills.
