The mission of University Pain Medicine Center is to use the least invasive yet most effective method of treatment for pain. As a medical innovator, Dr. Demesmin is committed to constant research of new developments and improvements within the rapidly growing specialty of Interventional Pain Medicine so that patients are offered with greater precision, less discomfort, and faster recovery. He uses the most up-to-date, minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Demesmin is also committed to exceeding the patients’ expectations for professional care delivered with honesty, respect, and dignity.
Dr. Demesmin is the Director of Pain Medicine Services at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, and also holds hospital privileges at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ, and Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, NJ. He graduated from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he received the prestigious award for Academic Excellence in Anesthesiology from the Department of Anesthesiology. He completed his medical residency in Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons/St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Medical Center in New York, NY. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He has been selected to present numerous lectures, and to be an instructor for a number of courses for Interventional Pain Medicine procedures and techniques.
