Piedmont Orthopaedics is a practice in Greenville, SC dedicated to serving Upstate South Carolina with the most comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic and spinal disorders. Dr. VanPelt is the latest addition to our spine team. He is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who has additional fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh for surgery of complex spinal disorders.

A partial list of disorders treated by the spine division of the practice include: Cervical spinal stenosis resulting in either disabling neck pain, headaches, arm pain (radiculopathy), or problems with gait and coordination (myelopathy). We also treat cervical disc degeneration or herniation, arthritis (spondylosis), tumors, infection, kyphosis, scoliosis, deformity and instability caused by traumatic injuries(fracture, subluxation and dislocation); In the back we treat radiating leg pain (lumbar radiculopathy), tumor, infection, deformitiy, and degenerative conditions (such as spondylolisthesis and lumbar stenosis which cause neurogenic claudication) of the spine.
