About Our Practice
Dr. David Michael Matusz is a fellowship trained spine surgeon. He has trained with world renowned experts in the treatment of complex disorders of the spine at: Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and at the Klinikum Karlsbad-Langensteinbach in Germany. He has published and presented at international meetings on varying disorders of the spine. His practice is dedicated solely to the care of pediatric and adult patients with spinal disorders. Dr. Matusz’s interests lie in the surgical treatment of complex spinal disorders, including degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, scoliosis, kyphosis, tumors, infection, disc herniation, disc replacement, minimally invasive surgery, revision surgery, flatback deformity, and failed spine surgery.
Dr. Matusz was born and raised in upstate New York. He graduated from Cornell University and Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has completed a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and was an Attending in Specialty Training at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. He is currently one of five orthopaedic surgeons in a comprehensive orthopedic practice covering the full spectrum of orthopedic sub-specialties.
