Dr. Hey’s professional experience includes more than a decade as a spine surgeon within the Duke University Medical Center and at the Hey Clinic, and more than 3,000 surgeries performed on patients from all over the world. With an undergraduate degree in engineering from MIT, a medical degree from Harvard, a Pediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at Children’s Hospital Boston and an Orthopaedic/Neurosurgical Adult Spine Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, he has earned a reputation for innovation and excellence. His greatest joy is serving and treating people with spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis as well as providing answers, hope and relief for people who suffer from severe spine problems and those who have experienced unsuccessful multiple surgeries.
