I am a board certified, fellowship-trained spine surgeon. I emphasize conservative care for the vast majority of spinal disorders if appropriate. In truth, most spine conditions can be treated with non-operative modalities including, but not limited to exercise, physical therapy and other modalities. Surgery is reseved for those who do not respond to non-operative methods.
