Orthopaedic spine surgeons, pain management physicians, rehabilitation doctors, neurologists, neurosurgeons, oncologists, rheumatologists, psychologists, vascular surgeons, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists, spinal orthotists, and social workers guide patients and their families through the diagnosis and education of both operative and nonoperative treatment protocols.
The University of Maryland Spine Center brings together a dedicated widely recognized core of spine care professionals to offer the highest quality of state of the art care for conditions affecting the adult and pediatric spine. We provide surgical and non-surgical care for all conditions affecting the spine, including acute and chronic low back and neck pain, degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, tumors, infections, adult and pediatric scoliosis, sports related spine injuries, and spinal trauma.
The University of Maryland Spine Center team believes that the highest quality of patient care depends upon continuing research and education. Each of the Center's physicians are engaged in ongoing clinical research to advance the operative and nonoperative methods of diagnosis and management of patients with spine problems.
