About Our Practice

At NOVA spine & injury center, we specialize in providing safe, high quality care using traditional chiropractic techniques combined with cutting edge technology, physical therapy modalities, and advanced rehabilitation protocols. Dr. Shaffer is a specialist in treating neuromusculoskeletal conditions using myofascial release (soft-tissue therapy) and other techniques (manipulation and exercises) to naturally reduce pain, speed healing, and enhance performance. These techniques were developed by treating professional and amateur athletes but work equally well when treating conditions brought on by work-related or auto accidents, chronic conditions, as well as everyday aches and pains.

We specifically attempt to decrease pain in the early stages of care and move to stabilization once pain levels have been brought under control. Many injuries cannot be reversed, i.e. Degenerative Disc Disease, but that does not mean that patient can be brought to a point where they are able to functionally adapt through rehabilitation and strengthening. Patient enter our clinic everyday expressing that they have one condition or the other and have tried Physical therapy, injections, pain medication, and even surgery and still have pain. Many times we are still able to help the patient decrease pain and improve function due to our innovative approach to rehabilitation and management.
