About Our Practice
My practice offers a science-based approach to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute or chronic health problems. I am a licensed chiropractor and acupuncturist. The following information will help you understand the benefits of working with me as your healthcare provider. I practice Functional Medicine. This is a system of patient-centered healthcare that considers the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. My determination of your fundamental clinical imbalances is based on medical history, physical examination, and laboratory testing. The following factors will be considered during your initial visit in my office: 1. Structural balance: If you have chronic neck, back or joint pain, you will have muscular imbalances that can result in loss of mobility, muscle spasms, and pain with movement. In severe cases where there is an intervertebral disc bulge or herniation, you may also have numbness and tingling or radiating pains in your arms and/or legs. Chiropractic manipulation, acupuncture, exercise therapy, massage therapy, and nutritional supplements can help reduce or eliminate these problems. 2. Environmental inputs: Composed of the air and water in your community, the particular diet you eat, the quality of the food available to you, your level of physical exercise, and toxic exposures or traumas you have experienced I define as environmental inputs. All of these inputs directly affect your past and present health. Lifestyle is also a major factor; research estimates that 70-90% of chronic disease risk is based on your lifestyle choices.
