This drug is not recommended for children udner 2 years of age.
Adults Over 60
Use with caution in this age group, as older patients are more
likely to experience the drug's adverse reactions.
Drug Dependency
This drug is not expected to cause physical or psychological
dependence.
Pregnancy Risk Category:
Pregnancy Warnings
This drug can potentially cause fetal harm and is contraindicated
in pregnant women. Do not use if you are pregnant or plan to
become pregnant.
Nursing Mothers
It is not known whether griseofulvin is excreted in breast milk.
However, as with most drugs, it is advisable not to use while
you are breastfeeding. Consult your physician if you plan to
breastfeed.
Prolonged Use
Prolonged use can cause superinfections. Consult your physician
about regular examinations.
Discontinuing Therapy
Do not discontinue until you have finished the prescription,
even if your symptoms have improved.
Operating a Vehicle or Heavy Machinery
This drug may produce side effects that impair your mental alertness,
such as dizziness. Avoid such activities if you feel these symptoms.
Avoid consuming alcohol or other CNS depressants while taking
this drug. They may intensify these side effects.
Sun Exposure
This drug may cause a photosensitivity reaction upon overexposure
to the sun. Avoid prolonged exposure and wear sunblock. If a
rash or a bad case of sunburn occurs, call your physician.
