About Spinal Decompression
Unlike manual or certain types of mechanical traction, a decompression system (DRX9000™) applies controlled forces to the spine in a manner to maximize spinal elongation. As vertebrae spread apart, intradiscal pressure is reduced and nerves and discs are decompressed. Additionally, decompression creates a vacuum effect within discs and stimulates induction of nutrients and oxygen necessary for healing.Last Updated: 08/11/2008
