Dr. Parker’s fellowship was also at Johns Hopkins. In 1995, Dr. Parker became the interim director of the Pain Care Center at Saint Frances Hospital in Memphis which became the Parker Pain & Rehab Center in 1996.
Pain management is critical to patient wellness, and Dr. Parker’s diagnostic and therapeutic services enhance patient treatment plans. Radiofrequency rhizotomy, trigger point therapy, epidural catheters, behavior modification, and psychiatric services are available to support clinical diagnosis. Through the use of provocative discograms, facet blocks, anesthetic injections and extensive testing, Dr. Parker and his staff provide state-of-the-art care for patients.
Through evaluation of the psychological and physical effects of pain, Dr. Parker and the clinic have dedicated themselves to finding the most effective care for each patient. The clinic’s mission is, “Helping people in pain gain control of their lives." Dr. Parker's goal is always to eliminate the pain when he can and if he cannot completely eliminate the pain, to reduce the pain to a level that allows the person to be able to live a full, productive life.
