About Our Practice:
Dr. Hsu is an assistant professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Department of Neurological Surgery. He specializes in the operative treatment of cervical and lumbar degenerative disorders, motion-sparing technology, and spinal cord injury. Procedures performed include anterior cervical discectemy and fusion, laminoplasty, lumbar decompression and fusion, X-stop, and microdiscectemy.

Dr. Hsu's research interests include tissue engineering and regenerative technologies as bone graft substitutes for spine fusion, and he serves as the director of the Tissue Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
