About Our Practice:
My practice involves the full gamut of pediatric orthopaedic surgery with a special emphasis on spinal deformities, tumors, trauma and infections. I also conduct the only VEPTR program for Thoracic Insufficiency and Vertebral Body Stapling program in the state. I have had extensive experience in spinal surgery for the past 27 years since finishing my pediatric orthopaedic and spinal surgery fellowships. My interests/experience in spine surgery extend from the occiput to the sacruam, anterior and posterior. I was one of the early advocates/users of spinal cord monitoring. I am currently a member of the Spinal Deformity Study Group, a select group of international spinal surgeons studying many aspects of spinal surgery in both children and adults. I have been active in the Scoliosis Research Society & the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America & have held committee as well as leadership positions in both.

My practice is centered at the only full-service children's hospital in the state of Indiana and my staff is instructed to respond expeditiously and effectively to any patient or physician-initiated referrals. Our imaging and anesthesia services at Riley are exceptional and of course integral in providing spinal care.
