Dr. Mirsky is a licensed psychologist who specializes in non-pharmacological pain management and presurgical evaluations to assess an individual's readiness for procedures such as spinal cord stimulator implant, intrathecal morphine pump, and elective spine surgery.

In addition, he provides presurgical preparation sessions for individuals who are scheduled for surgery. The purpose of this treatment is to manage surgery-related stress and provide behavioral techniques for managing post-surgical pain.

He also offers evaluation and treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) stemming from such events as work-related injuries and motor vehicle accidents. His treatment approach is based on cognitive-behavioral methods that are backed by years of scientific research and are shown to be effective for management of chronic pain. Hypnosis is offered as well.
