Dr. Dorai then completed a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer center, specializing in the surgical treatment of brain and spinal tumors.
She has authored articles and chapters in spine reconstruction, brain tumors and neurovascular neurosurgery, including articles in the Journal of Neurosurgery, and Youman's Textbook of Neurosurgery. She has given numerous presentations and served as faculty for practical neurosurgical courses at national neurosurgical meetings. Dr. Dorai is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, including the Tumor section. She continues to lecture locally and nationally on disorders of the brain and spine.
In July, 2005, Dr. Dorai joined Chesapeake Neurosurgery, LLC. Dr. Dorai's special clinical interests include degenerative spine disease, brain and spinal cord tumors and surgery for epilepsy disorders. She is also trained in CyberKnife radiosurgery.
