About Our Practice:
Dr. Buchowski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis Missouri and is the Chief of Degenerative and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. He treats patients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Barnes-Jewish West County.Dr. Buchowski earned his bachelors and masters of science degrees from Yale University and his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he served as administrative chief resident at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was fellowship trained in adult and pediatric spine surgery at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Buchowski's clinical practice is devoted to the treatment of metatastic spine disease and tumors of the spine; degenerative disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine; spine trauma; and minimally invasive spine surgery.
Dr. Buchowski's research interests include: clinical outcomes following spinal reconstructive surgery, spine biomechanics, and basic science applications (such as gene therapy) to disorders of the spine.
