About Our Practice:

I am interested in the psychiatric aspect of pain and pain management. Some psychotropic medications are very useful for this in the patient population with whom I work.

In traumatized patients they often carry their depresion, anxiety and rage in their bodies. Once this is identified and the patient can put it into words and attach the associated memories of traumatic events they can often obtain substantial relief.

Fibromyalgia is another special interest of mine. So many of these patients have not been believed for years at a time and not gotten the assistance that they need. It is very depressing and demoralizing to suffer so much and be told "there is nothing wrong with you -- it is all in your head." Then they get referred to me.
