About Our Practice:
Dr. Florman attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine graduating in 1987. He is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management and a Fellow of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. He studied Medical Acupuncture with an emphasis in pain management at UCLA, Helms Medical Institute. Since 1989 Dr. Florman has served as the medical director of Stacy Medical Center, a State-of-the-Art multidisciplinary and primary care Workers' Compensation medical practice specializing in orthopaedics, pain medicine, acupuncture (PENS), chiropractics and physical therapy.The health care professionals at Stacy Medical Center emphasize in treating patients who have sustained acute and chronic injuries while at work. The facility is 12,900 feet inclusive of a rehabilitation unit and accredited surgery center.
All spinal injections are performed painlessly in our modern surgery center under IV (Intravenous) Sedation. Utilizing a OEC 9800 LASER guided fluoroscope injections are placed precisely in the area of interest, thus improving overall results. All post-operative patients receive PENS (a type of acupuncture) therapy, a modality that helps to decrease overall pain and speed the healing process of spine injuries.
