About Our Practice:
The Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI) provides high quality orthopedic care and serves as a leading educator of orthopedic surgery technique to surgeons around the world. The Southern California Orthopedic Institute has, along with its main headquarters in Van Nuys, seven satellite offices in the Los Angeles area, including Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, as well as an office in Bakersfield. Dr. Grossman graduated from Northwestern University Medical School, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. He completed his Fellowship training in Spine Surgery at the Leatherman Spine Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Before joining the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, Dr. Grossman was in private practice in Humboldt County, California. Dr. Grossman has presented research papers at several national meetings on spine surgery, spine trauma and scoliosis. A diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Grossman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His professional interests include management of painful conditions of the neck and back, spine trauma, and correction of spinal deformities. In his free time, Dr. Grossman is an avid guitar player, mountain biker and skier. He lives with his wife and two sons in the Moorpark area.
