Dr. Neal Naff is a board certified neurosurgeon. He completed his neurosurgical training at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is the founding member of Chesapeake Neurosurgery, LLC. He serves as the Chief of Neurosurgery at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and at St Joseph Medical Center. He is also the Surgical Director of the CyberKnife Radiosurgery Center at Sinai Hospital. Dr. Naff provides a full range of treatments for disorders of the nervous system which includes disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. Dr. Naff also has considerable experience with complex surgical pain procedures such as implantable morphine pumps and spinal cord stimulators. Dr. Naff is affiliated with several hospitals that provide state of the art neurosurgical services. Dr. Naff has additional hospital privileges at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and Carroll Hospital Center. Resources available at these hospitals include "frameless stereotaxy" (image guided neurosurgery for the brain and spine), intra-operative neurologic monitoring, interventional neuroradiology, advanced operative microscopes, focused radiosurgery , neuro-intensive care with sophisticated neuro-pressure monitoring, frame based stereotactic brain biopsy, and advanced pain treatment technology. Dr. Naff offers comprehensive spinal surgery to include complex spinal reconstruction and stabilization, spinal tumor surgery, lumbar discectomy, cervical discectomy and fusion, as well as minimally invasive spine procedures such as microdiscectomy, kyphoplasty, and lumbar facet blocks.
