About Our Practice:
Dr. Maser came to Florida from the greater Detroit, Michigan area. He graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan State University, and completed medical school at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.In addition to his orthopedic residency, Dr. Maser has completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery and has been practicing in Pinellas County since 1994. He is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and has been in private practice for over thirteen years. He is very active in his community and is involved in educating orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons throughout the country in a variety of spine surgery techniques.
Dr. Maser's interests include both conservative and surgical treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders. He has extensive experience with injection therapies (e.g.: Facet injections, Epidural Steroids, sacroiliac joints). He also has specialized training in Intradiscal Electrothermal Therapy (IDET) and Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) of the cervical and lumbar spine.
He has performed more than 3,500 spinal procedures including: minimally invasive as well as complex spinal surgeries of the neck and low back. These include cervical and lumbar diskectomies and fusions.
Dr. Maser believes in treating all of his patients with compassion. He understands the fear and apprehension they experience while discussing their treatments options. With that in mind; Dr. Maser confers with his patients explaining in detail what he believes the most appropriate treatment options are. He works together with his patients to provide the best care and whether they need therapy, medications, injections or surgery; the goal is to put the patient’s needs first!
