The USC Center for Spinal Surgery, located adjacent to the USC University Hospital in Los Angeles, provides comprehensive care for all adult and pediatric spinal disorders. The USC Center for Spinal Surgery specializes in treating the most complex spine problems and serves as a major referral center for the entire Southern California Region. Dr. Spoonamore, Director of the Center for Spinal Surgery, is a board certified, fellowship-trained spine surgeon and specializes in the treatment of complex spinal disorders. He has particular experience treating professional and high-performance athletes, utilizing the most advanced rehabilitation program and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Spoonamore provides comprehensive care (including surgical stabilization) for patients with spine fractures and spinal cord injuries at USC Medical Center. Dr.Spoonamore also has a significant interest in spinal deformity, and has received national recognition for his research on scoliosis. Other research interests include spinal cord injuries, bone biology, and disc replacement surgery.
