About Our Practice:
Spine problems are my main interest. I do spinal decompression in my office and can help most patients without any surgery at all. I did the first minimally invasive spine surgery in Dallas in 1980 and wrote chapters on microdiscectomy for cervical and lumbar disc herniations in Youmans' NEUROLOGICAL SURGERY, 3rd Edition, 1989. Most of my spine surgery is now day surgery (outpatient surgery). I have written in six textbooks and published 16 peer-reviewed articles on diagnosis and treatment of spine conditions. I don't do many spine fusions as I can manage most cases without it.
