About Our Practice:
The neurosurgery group has been in this area since the mid 60's with Dr. Colin McDonald and Dr. David Brown. Dr. Lederhaus in 1986, Dr. Disney in 1988, Dr. Rodriguez in 1994 and Dr. Amirnovin in 2007. Thus, we have been a stable, long lasting neurosurgical group in the community. Currently, LDR Neurosurgery consists of 4 neurosurgeons. Dr. Scott Lederhaus, Dr. Lew Disney, Dr. Jose Rodriguez and Dr. Ramin Amirnovin. We are all Board Certified except for Dr. Amirnovin (a 2007 graduate of Harvard Medical School) who is board eligible. We perform all aspects of comprehensive spine and cranial work and limited pediatric neurosurgery. A Gamma knife will be operational at San Antonio Community Hospital December of 2008. We do not have any capitated contracts. Our philosophy is comprehensive evaluation with conservative care when appropriate and surgical treatment when necessary. We will assist each other for complicated cases thus reducing the surgical risk to our patients.
