Case Study – Balloon Kyphoplasty: T1 Compression Fracture, Osteoporosis

Case History
This 69 year old male with a history of prostate cancer presented with back pain. This 69 year old male with a history of prostate cancer presented with back pain.

X-ray and MRI revealed a biconcave fracture at T6. The midline portion was X-ray and MRI revealed a biconcave fracture at T6. The midline portion was collapsed and the patient had an overall loss of standing height. Balloon collapsed and the patient had an overall loss of standing height. Procedure & Results

Endplates were realigned and a notable reduction in cavity created by the IBTs. Four hours post-procedure, the patient reported no back kyphosis was observed.
