This video illustrates the stages of a lumbar microendoscopic discectomy spinal surgery. The patient was a 37 year old female suffering from a large L5-S1 herniated disc.

This lumbar discectomy was conducted microendoscopically. The surgery involves the use of small, precision instruments and special methods of viewing the surgery through a small incision.
