Butoranol Tartrateph: Side Effects

You may experience the following side effects with the use of this drug:

Common Symptoms

• Drowsiness
• Nausea or vomiting
• Dizziness

Less Common to Rare Symptoms

• High or low blood pressure
• Difficulty breathing
• Heart palpitations
• Sweatiness
• Headache
• Constipation
• Halluncination, disorientation, agitation
• Skin rash or itch
• Flushing

Life-threatening Symptoms

• Fast or pounding heartbeat
• Trouble breathing

Possible Overdose Symptoms

• Breathing difficulty
• Heartbeat irregularities
• Coma

What to Do in Case of Overdose

The IM and IV routes will probably be administered by a physician experienced in the use of butorphanol in an inpatient setting. If it is in an outpatient setting for the IM route, dial 911 for emergency help.
