Extra lumbar vertebrae l-6 fused to l-5.
Had fusion surgery 10/08/10. Post surgery the doctor said "...it was a little higgledy piggildy in there, but we fixd it."
I gathered all x-ray reports and all but 1(one) report refers to surgery as l-5 s-1. The doctor who did the surgery was the one who diagnosed me having an extra lumbar vertebrae in the first place.
Our insurance is extremely restrictive when it comes to participating orthopedic surgeons. Ours is the only participating one.
Applied for temporary SSI and none of the reports reflect the correct info.
How will the fusion, such as it is, affect me the rest of my life?
