Drop Foot from Spinal Tumor

Started by betty032 on 04/14/2010 6:26pm

I am a Pilates instructor and I am beginning to work with a lady who has a spinal tumor and loss of sensation in her feet. She can still get cramps but can not really tell what they are doing unless she looks. Is there any chance that she can have sensation return to her feet? Any other comments are welcomed.

I had a spinal tumor and it caused me permanent nerve damage. I have loss of sensation in my feet, legs, etc. I don't know if she had the tumor removed or not. If so, they give you a year to get sensation back.

Please be patient with her! I think it's great that she is attempting Pilates!

I appreciate your feedback Pam. I will practice patience for sure. She is a lovely person and I hope to help her feel better.
