Spinal fussion surgery

Started by 100001154581850... on 03/18/2015 4:14pm

I read many of the comments and I have one very important question. my son had spinal fussion surgery one year ago, his pain and problem were on the right side, but the surgeon operated the left side, he installed titanium discs on the left, the pain and numbness never went away, now the doctors discovered that he has a pinch nerve on the right side. Is it normal that if the pain is on the right side, they operated the left one?

Hi everyone! Just read all your conditions and found it so hard for me to accept that i might also undergo another operation. i had my operation last year (march 26, 2014) L5S1 and base from my october 2014 x-ray the screws were okay but when i had my x-ray this march 24,2015 we found out that both of my inferior screws are broken. I'm planning to have another consultation with other doctor to know if i need a second operation although the pain that i am experiencing now is manageable. What is the explanation of the broken screw? Should i consider it as doctor's fault or the screw itself is not of good quality?
