Stapling procedure for scoliosis, or VBS

Started by shell on 08/09/2010 9:45pm

My daughter is almost 12 and has scoliosis, double curve, about 30 degrees each. She's been wearing the flexible Spine-Cor brace but it's not seeming to be the best option for her as it's constantly hurting, rubbing, etc. Just heard of a procedure for scoliosis instead of bracing and before the fusion surgery would be needed called stapling. Anyone know about it? My daughetr seems to be in the "candidate" category for this and I'd like to explore this more. Thanks.
