Testing for herniated discs...

Started by luvdodo on 06/18/2010 7:31pm

I read through the Q&A - http://www.spineuniverse.com/experts/tes...

I always thought the test was true when I had my first L5S1 herniation in 2003. I am in deep pain now and my pain this time in on the later side of the right lower leg abd the toe keeps going through the pin/needle attack.

I just tried this test and can lift my left leg 90 deg without pain. So I am wondering why would this test fail?

The MRI shows a herniation at the same level.

Bump...Anyone?

also I know sciatica is worse when sitting, correct? For me its worse lying down or walking. Sitting is best for me.

Is that odd?

This is not uncommon don't worry. If u can handle the pain than it's all fine. Best wishes
