Hi Roseflower.
have you told your surgeon about these headaches? I had L4-L5 fused almost four yrs ago and then L5-S1 fused a yr ago and I never had any headaches after surgery, but I had a friend who had same surgry and suffered from migrane after. Her issue was spinal fluid leak. You need to contact your doctor to see if problem is medications or a number of other things.
I hope your headache goes away soon :) Wish you the best on your recovery

I absolutely agree that you should speak to your doctor. However, assuming the likely outcome that nothing out of order in that department, I would begin a relaxation and stress reduction immediately. Simple breathing techniques, basic meditation, gentle exercise and gratitude are some basic tools that I recommend to all my patients. You can find plenty of info on the web about all these things.

I agree with the others, call the surgeon's office. It could be something as simple as a "hangover" form anesthesia, good luck!

Hi Fred - Since you are a chiropractor, do you know anything about the DRX9000 machine for degenerative stenosis. It is supposed to replace surgery; however, it is very expensive. Please let me know. Thanks.

Adrienne,
To be honest, I'm not a big fan. Decompression MIGHT help your back problem. My greater concern is that my experience tells me that back pain is ALWAYS a multi-faceted issue and to treat it just as a disc herniation (even if that does exist) does not produce true healing (ie: Wholeness). You may get symptomatic relief but, in my world, that is not enough. Good luck.
