spondylosis
is this hereditary.??my mom says so..i am now 59,,oct.26.2005,,i blew out a disc L5/S1//--now on a disability retirement--looking back i have thought how could i have avoided this fate..,,i went to the hospital on the 25th,,they said siatica,,can i sue for malpractice.??.i don,t think anyone really knows what i am going through physically,mentally,,financially,,--because my wife is disabled this last 20 years and i have been taking care of her,,,she can,t receive ssi medical/medicare because the feds say i make too much money,,-what a joke-,-now i live in abject-poverty,,trying to stay out of debt,,but my teeth are rotting out,,i must pay for my wifes medical,dental,and all our prescription drugs..sometimes i think i want to stay alive just to piss people off...james waller

James, I am sorry to hear about all your troubles. I don't think they know yet whether its hereditary or not, although I am sure there is some relationship.
at the risk of sounding preachy, start doing the little things everyday. I found 4 stretches I do every morning and night and try to walk 3-4 days per week, I have found it is helping make my pain manageable and maintain a positive outlook on life.
