HELP I know Im not crazy!!!!

Started by NoMorePain10 on 10/05/2010 8:44am

I was in a car accident when I was 16 I am now 36 . On Feb. I had surgery hoping for some kind of relief. Went through all of the PT , Injections ect. before I got to this point . It is now right @ 8 months since the surgery . I have nerve damage causing constant burning pain down my left leg. They did a disc replacement of L4 -L5 and fusion . Im constantly losing control of my left leg , it goes numb and I face plant the floor or where ever I might be . Im too young to hurt like this . I have read some your stories and my heart goes out to each and every one of you . I have survived a heart attack @ 34 and a stroke @ 35 . I have 2 beautiful children who are scared for their mother . Im going to have my 2nd CT Myelogram done and to be honest with you I didnt hurt this bad before the surgery , if I could go back and do it all over again I WOULDN'T!!!!!! I have had them tell me it was in my head then they saw my MRI and low and behold it isn't . Im on pain meds now but I have been on them since I was 18 . All I want is NO MORE PAIN !!!!

hi nomorepain
i am sorry you are going through all these troubles. i know what its like to be in pain and can relate to your situation.
if in fact there is nothing the docs can do you might look into the electronic spinal cord stimulator. it is designed to help people who dont have a surgical option. keep us posted and let us know what the myelogram shows....pete

I appreciate it Pete , I am looking at the films and one of the screws that were straight is now bent !!!! I wouldn't wish this kind of pain on no one . I kept telling the Docs no for 20 years on surgery . I go ahead and say yeah when it gets so bad I can't stand it .....Guess What ..... The pain is freaking worse!!!!! Go figure
