Thoracic and Lumbar Spine "Unremarkable" in Bone Scan

From: earlylite - on 05/19/2010 5:07pm

Hi!

I recently had a whole body bone scan and, after receiving the radiologist's report, I am needing clarification on what "unremarkable" means. The report states the darker and lighter areas of radiotracer, but also then states "thoracic spine and the lumbar spine unremarkable". I have my follow-up on the 5/26, but I don't want to wait that long to know what "unremarkable" means.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Earlylite:

I believe "unremarkable" means they didn't find anything unusual; everything looks okay. I wish I could say the same about my MRIs!

Thank you so much for your reply, Pam! I hope whatever issue caused you to need the MRIs has been cured.
