L5/S1 Compression Fracture .......Need Advice

Started by 100002058083804... on 08/15/2014 3:16pm

Hi.... Really need some advise...... I am a 41 year old female. I just had a recent incident that caused a compression fracture at L5/S1..... I have already been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2008. That was a hard diagnosis to swallow... I also have... Degenerative disc disease, hypertension, severe arthritis, IBS, and have never had the best back in the world. I have several herniated disc, and also a diabetic. But, I just received the compression fracture diagnosis. My doctor was getting me to take cortisone blocks prior to this recent diagnosis. I don't know what will happen from here. I feel very afraid. Where do I go from here? I was already in so much pain, but now it is completely crazy pain. I'm totally unable to walk at this point. My husband has to carry me to the restroom. I was already facing paralysis due to my MS. I am unable to move my left leg at this point. I'm 41 and already on a walker at this point.... Sorry ....just down....If anybody can tell me what I'm looking at from here , please let me know...... Thanks for any advice......Sindy
