Possible side effects after a Laminectomy

From: redjune - on 07/17/2011 7:40am

I had a laminectomy in March 2010 for spinal stenosis and bulging discs. I was in terrible pain and before having surgery I could hardly walk. I was lucky, the surgery was successful and I am now back to normal again.
However, I was left with numbness and loss of feeling in my right foot and was told that I wouldnt regain the feeling. This has proved to be correct and isnt a big problem, but recently Ive noticed that my big toe is starting to overlap my second toe and there is a big gap between my third and fourth toes. It feels strange and is annoying, but if it continues I am going to have problems with wearing and buying shoes I think.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did they do about it?
