Strange "Balloon-Like bumps" on Lumbar X-Ray (Severe back Pain)....

Started by Please_Help950 on 02/24/2013 3:31am

I noticed when I x-rays done of my lumbar spine, that three of the vertebrae have a balloon-like bump on them. L2, L3, and L4. (L3 is the largest) It also looks like my spine curves more to the one side with one hip a tad higher than the other (I have really bad pain in my hips too). The "bump" is visible when looking at the side x-ray view, and it is located on the back of the spine.

Please help. Thank you!

Hello please help I also have ballon like images on my xrays the dr says they are called nodes which are some type of ostoaritritis but can push on your nerves to cause pain I'am suprised your doctor didn't tell you what they are I have a really big one and more small ones at different levels they might be bone spurs also I have some of those in my neck wow getting old really sucks I have had multi level spinal fusion ans a pain stim unit implanted in my hip with the wires going up my spine to level l2,3 and I still have bad pain . I use pain meds at a controlled dosage and try to walk which helps. Peace&love to all pain suffers and good luck with your fight.
