Pain in mid back unsure what it could be

Started by daricks41 on 01/05/2013 3:17pm

I just got the results from my mri back and my family doctor was not able to tell me anything about what was found except that I might have a tumor in my back. My next step was to call my orthopedic doctor who performed a fusion from l4-s1 and fused both of my si joints in October 2012. He said that it looks like a tumor and to see a neuro surgeon. This has got me a little worried because no one is telling me much about what it could be they keep telling me to see a different doctor. This is what was found on the mri

1. Discogenic and degenerative changes of the thoracic spine
2. Stable enhancing round lesion within the right paraspinal musclature at the level of t7 of unclear etiology. Differential diagnosis would include both benign and malignant etiologies the statistically an atypical neurogenic tumor would be favored. Continued surveillance is recommended.

I don't understand any of this and any advice would be a huge help
