Difficult to walk

Started by 1554054068@facebook on 11/20/2012 7:45pm

For almost a year my lower back has given me much pain. It also affects my walking and must use a cane. My doctor told me to use Oxycodene which I do when it is necessary to go someplace or perform a needed task. I know drugs are not the answer however. Have taken weeks of therapy at a local spine/muscle facility but it seems to make it worse. I am 72 years old and would love to be able to get around again.

I wonder just how far you are able to walk? Let`s face it Al. at 72 years old we must be realistic about things. There are many people younger than yourself who can`t get around as they would wish too, YES! I know there are also those who are older that walk without any help. But it is you we are considering not some geriatric who runs marathons. Personally I would take the medication or even ask for something else if that would keep me mobile.
