degenrative disk disease

Started by arlie on 07/07/2012 10:42pm

several years ago , i had a *laminectomy Fusion surgery - *twice on L-4-5 , S-1 . Hardware had to be
removed on second surgery . Still left with Constant Chronic Pain , still taking hydrocodone 10 / 325
and morphine 30 mg E.R ... daily every 8 hours . Pain level never reduces below *5 scale / *with meds .
Doctors don't want to do any more surgery , or strengthen Meds . When i ask questions to doctor , they
really don't have an answer except to say "better leave well enough alone". I've tried everything , but no
good results to lessen pain .

My question now is : *has anyone had any luck using a "back brace" for support ? The pain is centered
strongest in the fusion area L-4-5 , S-1. I am beginning to bend forward in my back / while standing , to
lessen the pain . So i am hoping a good light weight *back brace might help ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated . Help !!
