Removal of SCS hurts

Started by backhurtsinthisarea on 09/16/2010 1:17pm

Just had SCS removed, it's painful when you aren't put to sleep.

The pressure you feel as I assume they are ripping out the anchors to your spine is pretty bad, and the when you are in pain they do give you more shots to help with that, but even the shots hurt.

It's just scary all around.

Hi Guys,
how I did you have your SCS in for? How well did they work ? Did they work at all? I would figure they're not working anymore. Are you getting new ones? Thanks Sam

It was an option for me presurgery.

My pain management doctor which I'm friends/neighbor if I continuing pain after the fusion . SCS could still be an option. I had enough surgeries for a while. If you never had a fusion don't have one. The pain is real intense at least for me it was. There was a wiseguy saying people shouldn`t listen to people on this form. Were all the failures maybe he's right. If I was working five days a week I wouldn`t be on the computer. Presurgery I learned a lot on this website. I feel it's my time to give back now. I wish I could say I was doing really great, I can't yet. I'm just starting getting my strength back. (2 months postop). I'm taking one last pain pill a day now. Which I consider that something. Good luck. Sam
