My mother's TLIF fusion success story (5th surgery)...

Started by Roberto Posavec on 06/29/2010 6:31pm

My mother was former administrator in oiur National Tourist Board lived a normal life until five years ago. Then suddenly sciatica attacks begun. First, every 6 months, then regularly every month... She did not realized how serious problem that can be, and she ignored it, took pills, injections and other medications. She started to visit doctors: physiatrists, orthopedists, chiropractics... Nobody realized how serious her problem was. She had traditional big-incision spine surgery that almost ruined her life. She was depressed and without any hope until she met Dr. Robert Saftic, renowned spinal neurosurgeon from Croatia who made four new surgeries on her spine.

She had total of 5 spine surgeries:
1st: open/traditional discectomy at L3-L4
2nd: minimally-invasive endoscopic discectomy at L3-L4
3rd: PLDD (laser) at L3-L4
4rd: PLDD at L1-L2 and L4-L5
5th: less invasive TLIF fusion at L3-L4

Now she has her life back. You can read full story at:http://www.spine-surgery-croatia.com/patient-success-story.html
