back surgery and hope

Started by squirtatious on 05/31/2010 2:01am

Its been a long 3 month journey since my open back fusion surgery with instrumentation back Feb 22nd of this year. One filled with many ups and downs. I didn't believe it was always possible to be able to get to the point where I could have several continuous good days in a row with very minimal pain. Its been a long time commin to get to this point. I'm here to say that through your darkest days, there IS hope for a better tomorrow, one filled with more aliveness than pain!!!!! You WILL get through ur trials and tribulations if u can endure through the first stages of immense pain. Greatest blessings to you all!!!! *hugs*

Thanks for your post. It's been two months since my spinal fusion surgery and this week has been the worst physically and emotionally for me. Am on Prednisone to reduce swelling & inflammation of my back muscles but still have pain. Am sincerely hoping I feel better in one month's time.
