Question about mri

I was involved in auto accident and had a cervical spine mri..My question is i also i have shoulder pain from possible rotator cuff .I was diagnosed with neck sprain,impingement and shoulder contusion.Also ddd and several herniated disk.what does a cervical mri entail,just the spine or shoulder too.My shoulder was xrayed but i believe i need an mri if one has not been done.I have had impingement before which required surgery so i know what the pain feels like.thanks all
