Brian R. Subach, M.D.
Dr. Subach received his medical
degree with honors in 1993 from the University of Michigan before
completing his neurosurgical training at the University of Pittsburgh
under Drs. Peter Jannetta and L. Dade Lunsford. He received
additional training in neurovascular surgery with Dr. Duke Samson
at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas
before going on to complete a fellowship in complex spinal surgery
with Dr. Regis Haid at Emory University in Atlanta. He is a
diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and eligible
for certification from the American Board of Neurological Surgeons
(ABNS).
Dr. Subach has written extensively
regarding both his clinical and laboratory investigations. To
date he has authored 25 articles in peer reviewed journals,
3 textbook chapters, and has presented nearly 30 invited lectures
at national meetings. He is currently a provisional member of
both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS)
and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), as well as
a member of the Joint Sections (AANS/CNS) on Neurotrauma and
Critical care and on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves.
He is also a candidate for fellowship in the American College
of Surgeons.
Dr. Subach currently holds an appointment as Assistant Professor
of Neurosurgery at the Emory University Medical School with
interests in complex spinal surgery, image guidance, trigeminal
neuralgia, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Subach is a member of the SpineUniverse Editorial Board.
