V. Mummaneni, M.D.
Dr. Mummaneni
is a Neurosurgeon from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.
Dr. Mummaneni
received his medical degree from Boston University in Massachusetts.
He completed his Internship in General Surgery at the University
of California, Irvine and his Residency in Neurosurgery at the
University of California, San Francisco. During his residency,
Dr. Mummaneni spent a year as a Visiting Scholar in Biomechanics
at the University of California - Berkeley. He is currently
a Complex Spine Surgery Fellow at Emory University in Atlanta
Georgia.
Dr. Mummaneni
is a member of numerous prestigious professional societies including
Alpha Omega Alpha, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Delta Epsilon, American
Association of Neurological Surgeons (Resident Member), Congress
of Neurological Surgeons (Resident Member), AANS/CNS Joint Section
on Cerebrovascular (Resident Member), AANS/CNS Joint Section
on Spine and Peripheral Nerve (Resident Member), AANS/CNS Joint
Section on Trauma and Critical Care (Resident Member), AANS/CNS
Joint Section on Tumors (Resident Member) and the California
Association of Neurological Surgeons (Resident Member).
In addition
to his professional affiliations, Dr. Mummaneni has published
over 14 journal articles in such noted journals as Neurosurgery,
Pediatric Neurosurgery, Surgical Neurology, Journal of Biomechanics,
Muscle and Nerve and the Journal of Spinal Disorders. In addition,
Dr. Mummaneni has made over 13 presentations at major medical
meetings all over the country.
Currently,
Dr. Mummaneni resides in Atlanta Georgia where he enjoys basketball,
hiking, swimming and white water rafting. He is also fluent
in Telugu.
